ASEAN Broad Framework for Sustainable Development of ASEAN Statistics

ASEAN Broad Framework for Sustainable Development of ASEAN Statistics (BFSDAS) was approved in January 2009 in Singapore. BFSDAS aims to define:

- The key outputs pertinent to the establishment of the ASEAN Community;

- The statistics domains required to realise the key outputs;

- The enabling tools and mechanisms.

The BFSDAS was revised in November 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia to reflect the newest developments in the areas of statistics in ASEAN. The 5th Session of the ASEAN Community Statistical System (ACSS) Committee in November 2015 in Cyberjaya, Malaysia proposed the adjustment of the BFSDAS.

The lastest version of the BFSDAS was adopted at the 6th Session of the ACSS Committee, 1-3 November 2016, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. The priorities in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Blueprint 2025 and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) 2025 were updated in this BFSDAS version.
