Approving the Scheme on preparation for and Vietnam’s assumption of  the ASEAN Chair on Statistics in 2020

MINISTER OF PLANNING AND INVESTMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2017/ND-CP dated July 25, 2017 by the Government defining the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Planning and Investment;

Pursuant to Decision No. 76/2010/QD-TTg dated November 30, 2010 by the Prime Minister on organization and management of international conferences and seminars in Vietnam;

Pursuant to Decision No. 1743/QD-TTg dated December 14, 2018 by the Prime Minister on the establishment of the National ASEAN 2020 Committee in charge of making preparations for Viet Nam to undertake the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020;

At the proposal of the Director General of General Statistics Office,

DECIDES:

Article 1. To approve this Decision enclosed with the Scheme on preparation for and Vietnam’s assumption of the ASEAN Chair on Statistics in 2020.

Article 2. To assign the Director General of General Statistics Office to preside over, coordinate with units under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant sectors in developing the Plans and organizing the implementation of the Scheme.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

The Director General of General Statistics Office, the Director General of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, relevant organizations and individuals shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
