On the morning of December 8, 2020, the
General Statistics Office of Viet Nam collaborated with the Statistics Division
(ASEANstats) to hold online meeting of the 10th Session of the ASEAN Community Statistical
System (ACSS) Committee (Closed Session). Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - General Director of
General Statistics Office of Viet Nam delivered her opening speech.
Participants attended the meeting included: members
of the ACSS Committee, members of the ACSS Sub-Committee on Planning and
Coordination (SCPC), and members of the ACSS Working Groups on Data Sharing,
Analysis, Dissemination and Communication of Statistics (WGDSA), on
International Merchandise Trade Statistics (WGIMTS), on International
Investment Statistics (WGIIS), on Statistics on International Trade in Services
(WGSITS), on System National Accounts (WGSNA)and on Sustainable Development
Goals Indicators (WGSDGI), Statistics Division (ASEANstats) and ASEAN
Integration Monitoring Directorate (AIMD).
Following the report of the National
Statistics Office of Thailand on the highlights of the 9th Session of the
ACSS-Committee (ACSS9), Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien - Deputy Director of GSO
presented the Outcomes of the 10th Meeting of the Committee of the Whole
(CoW10) held in January 2020.
The close session on December 8, 2020 of the
ACSS Committee also focused on some main contents such as: The ACSS initiative
to develop the Concept Note on Big Data for Enhancing the ACSS Official
Statistics, Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the ACSS Strategic Plan 2016-2020 and
Revised ACSS Strategic Plan 2016-2025, Implementation of ASEAN-Help-ASEAN
Framework (AHAF) to Strengthen ACSS Capacity Building, Enhanced ASEAN
Statistical Indicators Consolidated Template (ASI-CT), AWP 2020 Monitoring
Report and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of the KPIs of ACSS Strategic
Plan 2016-2025, Code of Practice (CoP) Section B - Statistical Output and
Section C - Statistical Process by ACSS WGs and Concept
Note on Communication Plan revised Policy and Guidelines on data Sharing,
Analysis and Dissemination.
